Will the SoundDock® Series III system work with my iPhone or iPod?
The SoundDock® Series III system works with and charges iPhone and iPod models with an Apple Lightning connector.
Can I play music from a digital music player other than an iPhone or iPod?
Yes. Although designed for use with an iPhone/iPod, the SoundDock® Series III system also features an auxiliary input to attach other audio devices. You can enjoy the same audio performance from another MP3 player, a portable CD player or music phone.
In addition to controlling the SoundDock® system, does the remote also control the docked iPhone or iPod?
The custom remote controls the SoundDock® Series III system plus basic iPhone/iPod functions: on/off, pause, volume, track seek/scan and playlist navigation.
Does the SoundDock® Series III system charge my iPhone or iPod?
Yes. When plugged into a wall outlet, the system will charge any compatible iPhone or iPod docked to the system.
Does the SoundDock® Series III system use batteries?
No. The system uses AC power from a wall outlet.
