Enabling or disabling Auto-off mode
The automatic power off setting lets your product automatically turn off and enter standby if it is not in use for a period of time. This is useful, for example, to conserve power in case your product is accidentally left powered on.
To turn on or off automatic standby:
If no audio is playing or the volume knob is all the way down, your product automatically powers off after two hours (for units with a DOM [date of manufacture] of 4218 or earlier) or 30 minutes (for units with a DOM of 4219 or later).
- To turn off automatic standby, press and hold the top of the control pod until for about six seconds until you hear two descending tones
- To turn on automatic standby, press and hold the top of the control pod until for about six seconds until you hear two asscending tones
