Short battery life

If the battery charge level drains at a faster rate than expected, try the following:

Determine if any recent changes have been made to the headset or aircraft.

If any changes or modifications have been made to either the headset or the aircraft, look into whether or not those changes could have unexpectedly caused this issue.

Check the position of the AUTO-OFF switch on the control module of the Down Cable.

The Auto Off function of the headset may not be enabled.
  1. Remove the batteries from the control module
  2. Move the switch below the AUTO-OFF cable to ON (left). Change the position of the switch using a push-pin or paperclip
  3. Reinstall the batteries. Match the polarity on the batteries to the markings inside the battery compartment
The headset will turn off after 3 to 9 minutes of inactivity
